Our founder Kim Halstead wasn’t trying to start a skincare business — she was just tired of dry, irritated skin and the overpriced creams that never worked.

What started in her kitchen soon became something more. Friends and Family wanted more. And before long, The Accidental Tallowist was born, a brand rooted in simplicity, handcrafted care, and ancestral ingredients that make sense.
Today, her products are on shelves in Florida’s favorite natural markets, but they’re still made the same way — in small batches, with clean ingredients, and a whole lot of love.
